Both teams are in the market for a QB. The Browns do not, I repeat, do not have any interest in Jimmy C. The Rams on the other hand like Jimmy C. and Colt McCoy. By trading up, the Browns get Bradford, the perfect QB for Holmgren to mold. The Rams have a choice -- take Clausen at 7 or trade down again into the 20s to take McCoy late in the first round. The Rams also pick up valuable extra picks in this draft and can fill a number of holes.
I like this trade. I want it to happen. Thoughts?
Not only does it make sense for both teams, but it creates some interesting ripples if both Claussen and Bradford go in the top 7. In particular, it increases the chances that Eric Berry slips to 9 or 10 - in range for a "fowl" team to trade up for him
